Competition Audit Coordinator
The Audit Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and fairness of MIST competitions while also equipping regional teams with the necessary skills to manage scorekeeping effectively. This role’s responsibilities include auditing regional competition results and providing comprehensive training on MIST’s scorekeeping procedures. It’s ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, has a strong commitment to fairness, and enjoys teaching and supporting others.
Key Responsibilities
Auditing
Conduct thorough audits of regional scorekeeping after tournaments to ensure accuracy and fairness.
Ensure compliance with MIST’s competition rules and guidelines across all regions.
Report discrepancies and maintain records of audit outcomes.
Training
Develop and deliver training programs on MIST scorekeeping procedures.
Assist in creating and distributing training materials, such as guides, manuals, and video tutorials, to support regional organizers.
Conduct regular training sessions for regional organizers to ensure they are well-prepared to manage scorekeeping duties.
Provide ongoing support and guidance to regional teams as they implement scorekeeping practices.
Collaboration
Work with the Tournament Commissioner to address audit findings and improve practices.
Communicate feedback and recommendations to regional organizers.
Qualifications
Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
Experience in training and communication.
Knowledge of MIST competition rules and scorekeeping.
Availability to commit 2-3 hours per week during pre-Tournament season (fall/winter) and 5-6 hours per week during the tournament season (spring).
