Every dollar helps…
Hosting tournaments for hundreds and thousands of people is a costly endeavor. From venue costs to supply costs to award costs, our tournaments require tens of thousands of dollars. As an organization that's 100% volunteer-run, our mission is to keep registration fees as low as possible, while still providing an experience that remains at a high quality.
This is where you can help. With your contributions, you help MIST provide an unforgettable experience to high schoolers around the world. Every dollar helps, and together, we can lift the next generation.
Each of MIST’s regions is financially self sufficient, relying typically 80% of their revenues coming from tournament registration fees and 20% from corporate sponsorships or individual donations. The financial statement detailed below is of our international, shared budget. It is primarily funded through dues, a roughly 5% tax on each region’s annual registration fees. The shared budget expenses are generally costs affecting all of the regions, such as legal and accounting services, server and domain charges, and organizer training.
