Content Strategist/Writer
The Content Strategist is the primary custodian of MIST National’s written voice, ensuring all communications are clear, compelling, and strategically aligned with our mission. This role is responsible for crafting and optimizing written content across all digital channels, from engaging social captions to informative website and blog content.
Key Responsibilities
Multi-Platform Content Creation
Write and edit high-impact, compelling copy for all visual assets, including graphics and video content produced by the design team.
Develop comprehensive content for long-form channels, including writing and editing website copy, email newsletters, and timely blog posts.
Brand Voice and Values
Craft engaging social media captions for Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok that clearly reflect MIST's unique voice and authentically communicate its core Islamic values.
Maintain consistency in tone, terminology, and style across all national communications to ensure a cohesive brand narrative.
Strategy and Optimization
Apply Search Engine Optimization (SEO) knowledge to all long-form content (website and blog) to maximize organic reach and discoverability.
Collaborate with the Social Media Manager to align written content with current trends and performance metrics.
Qualifications
Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, demonstrated by a strong portfolio of previous work.
Proven ability to write engaging copy for both short-form (social media) and long-form (blog, email) channels.
Strong working knowledge of SEO principles and content optimization strategies.
Familiarity with MIST’s mission, values, and target demographic is highly desirable.
Ability to work collaboratively in a remote team environment and manage multiple writing deadlines simultaneously.
Availability to commit 3-6 hours per week.
