Grants & Fundraising Coordinator
The Grants & Fundraising Coordinator is instrumental in securing the necessary financial resources to support MIST National’s operations and growth. This role focuses on maximizing external funding opportunities through grants and cultivating strategic relationships, while rigorously ensuring that all funds are used appropriately according to donor and legal specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Grant Management & Acquisition
Conduct proactive research to identify relevant grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government sources.
Lead the end-to-end grant application process, including writing persuasive proposals, preparing supplementary materials, and tracking submission timelines.
Compliance & Financial Reporting
Ensure the proper allocation and spending of all acquired funds and donations, strictly adhering to donor restrictions and legal requirements.
Prepare detailed and accurate financial reports specifically tailored for grants, donors, and organizational fundraising campaigns.
Partnership Development
Develop and nurture strategic, long-term partnerships and positive relationships with major donors, funding organizations, and potential sponsors.
Assist the Head of Sponsorship in executing donor recognition strategies and stewardship activities.
Qualifications
Proven experience in grant writing, fundraising, or non-profit financial administration.
Strong organizational skills with a keen ability to manage multiple deadlines for grant cycles and reporting requirements.
Excellent written communication skills, particularly in developing persuasive proposals and precise financial reports.
Understanding of non-profit funding compliance and restricted spending guidelines is a strong plus.
Availability to commit 5-7 hours per week.
