Program Design Coordinator
The Program Design Coordinator will lead program design and review at MIST, ensuring that workshops, activities, and learning experiences are high-quality, relevant, and engaging. They provide expert support and resources to regional teams. They will support regions by reviewing or co-developing content, offering guidance on facilitation techniques, and supporting maintenance of the MIST workshop bank. By providing training, support, and feedback to regions on tournament programming, they will ensure that MIST's goals and values are reflected in regional workshops and program initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Program Design and Development
Attend and support monthly virtual events for regional workshop coordinators and Programs Chairs, emphasizing best practices in workshop development.
Support curation of the "Workshop Bank," ensuring all workshop titles and descriptions meet MIST's educational standards.
Collect and develop quality programming materials from across the organization or from external sources, and help scale across regions.
Program Review
Review regions’ workshop submissions and provide feedback in consultation with the Program Director.
Attend debrief calls with each region and national tournament team following the conclusion of regional tournaments.
Qualifications
A minimum of 2 years of experience as a MIST organizer (or other Muslim youth organization).
Not currently engaged in a regional MIST role.
Professional experience with public speaking, education, or curriculum design is preferred.
Strong collaboration and communication skills, capable of engaging with a variety of stakeholders.
Strong writing ability, reading comprehension, and editing skills, including mastery of English writing conventions.
Availability to commit 3-5 hours/week, more during regional planning period (typically Dec-Mar).
