Recruitment Coordinator

The Recruitment Coordinator is responsible for driving the talent acquisition lifecycle for MIST on the Executive Leadership level, ensuring that all roles are filled with qualified and mission-aligned volunteers. This position manages the administrative process, facilitates candidate assessment, and collaborates closely with Directors to maintain a professional and efficient recruitment pipeline.

Key Responsibilities

  • Talent Sourcing & Management

    • Collaborate directly with Executive Directors to understand departmental needs, define role requirements, and develop strategic recruitment plans.

    • Manage and maintain all national role postings across relevant platforms and internal channels.

    • Oversee the application process, ensuring timely processing, review, and communication with candidates.

  • Candidate Assessment & Interviewing

    • Facilitate and schedule interviews, serving as the central coordinator between candidates and hiring managers.

    • Assist in the initial assessment and screening of applications to ensure candidates meet minimum qualifications.

    • Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of the recruitment process for tracking and audit purposes.

  • Onboarding & HR Compliance

    • Coordinate the initial phases of talent onboarding, ensuring new team members are transitioned smoothly to their respective Directors.

    • Collaborate with the Director of People & Culture to ensure all recruitment practices are fair, compliant, and reflective of MIST's values.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in human resources, recruitment, talent acquisition, or a related field. A professional HR background is highly preferred.

  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage a high volume of applications and coordinate multiple interview schedules simultaneously.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting professionally with candidates and internal leadership.

  • Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) or similar volunteer management databases is a plus.

  • Availability to commit 3-6 hours per week
