Thematic Strategy Coordinator
The Thematic Strategy Coordinator ensures that all programming aligns with the organization's mission, values, and thematic goals. They work closely with the Director of Programs to develop the theme and maintain cohesion across programming. This individual will support in all stages of theme development, including brainstorming, research, writing, and editing, and solicit feedback from the MIST network on theme ideas and content. Collaborates with regional counterparts to understand local programming needs and ensure thematic consistency across regions.
Key Responsibilities
Theme Development
Support the creation of the annual theme, involving brainstorming, gathering feedback, and finalizing the theme's title and description.
Collaborate with regional representatives, community leaders/scholars, and other National Directors to ensure the theme resonates with and is relevant to MIST's diverse audience.
Provide support to the Director of Programs and regional counterparts year-round to ensure implementation and consistency of theme.
Qualifications
Experience in thematic or program planning, preferably within MIST
Strong familiarity with the MIST’s audience, vision, and mission.
Background in Islamic education or curriculum design is preferred.
Strong collaboration and communication skills, capable of soliciting and implementing feedback.
Strong creative writing ability, including research, brainstorming, and editing.
A minimum of 2 years of experience as a MIST organizer.
3-5 hours/week, with peak times during theme planning phases (typically July-Nov).
