Financial Systems Administrator
The Financial Systems Administrator is the technical backbone of the MIST National Finance department, responsible for the effective management, security, and utilization of all core financial technology platforms. This role ensures regional finance teams are equipped and trained to use our systems accurately, efficiently, and in full compliance with data security policies.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Platform Management
Manage and maintain the optimal performance and integrity of MIST’s primary financial platforms, including QuickBooks, Bill.com, and Ramp.
Oversee user access, permissions, and security settings across all managed systems to ensure proper separation of duties and data protection.
Training and Troubleshooting
Develop and deliver clear, accessible training materials and sessions for Regional Finance Chairs and their teams on the efficient use of Quickbooks, Bill.com, and Ramp.
Serve as the primary point of contact for technical troubleshooting and system support, resolving errors and operational issues swiftly.
Data Security and Policy Compliance
Establish and enforce protocols to ensure the robust security and privacy of all financial data stored within MIST systems.
Collaborate with the Head of Financial Compliance to ensure all system configurations and data handling practices adhere to internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
Cannot be in an active current MIST role; if currently in an organizing position, they would have to resign from their current position. Can still be a regular volunteer for any region, but may not hold any title/position
Proven administrative experience managing and operating cloud-based financial platforms, including QuickBooks, Bill.com, and Ramp.
Strong technical troubleshooting skills and the ability to train diverse users on system functionality.
Excellent understanding of data security best practices, particularly within a non-profit or financial context.
Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to system maintenance and user support.
Availability to commit 5-7 hours per week
